Abstract: ADJUSTMENTS TO THE BOND MAY BE NECESSARY AS THE ACREAGE IN THE PERMIT AREA IS REVISED, METHODS OF MINING OPERATION CHANGES, STANDARDS OF RECLAMATION CHANGES OR WHEN COST OF FUTURE RECLAMATION RESTORATION OR ABATEMENT WORK CHANGES. SECTION 509(E) OF P.L. 95-87 SETS FORTH THE AUTHORITY FOR THE REGULATORY AUTHORITY TO MAKE THESE ADJUSTMENTS. THIS INFORMATION IS USED BY HIM/HER IN MAKING A DETERMINATION TO ADJUST THE BOND.
