Abstract: THIS INFORMATION COLLECTION REQUIREMENT IS MANDATED BY SECTION 515(D) OF P.L. 95-87. IT IS NEEDED TO ENSURE THAT ADEQUATE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION DURING SURFACE COAL MINING AND RECLAMATION OPERATIONS ON STEEP SLOPES. THIS IS USED BY THE REGULATORY AUTHORITY IN ANALYZING THE STATIC FACTOR OF SAFETY FOR THE STABILTIY OF ALL PORTIONS OF THE RECLAIMED LANDS.
