Abstract: IRC SECTION 528 IMPOSES A TAX ON AN ORGANIZATION ELECTING TO BE TREATED AS A HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION. PROPOSED REGULATIONS SECTION 1.528-8 PROVIDES THAT SUCH ELECTION SHALL BE MADE BY FILING FORM 1120-H. THE INFORMATION IS USED TO HELP VERIFY THAT THE INCOME, DEDUCTIONS, CREDITS AND TAX HAVE BEEN CORRECTLY REPORTED AND ALSO FOR GENERAL STATISTICS USE.
