Abstract: IRC SECTION 1372 AND REGULATIONS SECTION 1.1371-2 REQUIRE THAT FORM 2553 BE USED BY AN ELECTING SMALL BUSINESS CORPORATION TO ELECT SUBCHAPTER S STATUS. THIS ELECTION IS TO BE SIGNED BY THE CORPORATION ALL SHAREHOLDERS OF THE CORPORATION. THE INFORMATION OBTAINED IS NECESSARY TO DETERMINE IF THE ELECTION SHOULD BE ACCEPTED.
