Abstract: UNDER IRC SECTION 6041, FORMS 1099 ARE SENT OT PERSONS RECEIVING PAYMENTS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE. FORM 4347 IS USED BY PERSONS RECEIVING PAYMENTS AS PAYEES OF RECORD ON BVEHALF OF OTHER PERSONS. TO AVOID AN EXAMINATION, THE PAYEE OF RECORD CAN ATTACH THIS FORM TO HIS OR HER INCOSME TAX RETURN TO ADVISE IRS OF THE PERSONS TO WHOM THE PAYMENTS ACTUALLY BELONG. IRS USES THE INFORMATION TO DETERMINE WHO SHOULD REPORT THE PAYMENTS AS INCOME.
