Abstract: IRC SECTION 402(E) ALLOWS TAXPAYERS TO COMPUTE A SEPARATE TAX ON THE ORDINARY INCOME PORTION OF A LUMP-SUM DISTRIBUTION FROM A QUALIFIED RETIREMENT PLAN. THE FORM IS USED TO CORRECTLY COMPUTE THE SEPARATE TAX. DATA IS USED TO VERIFY CORRECTNESS OF SEPARATE TAX.
