LEAD CONTAMINATION OF AUTOMOBILE
CATALYSTS HAS A DIRECT EFFECT ON THE LEVEL OF HC AND CO EMISSIONS
AND HENCE AN EFFECT ON AIR QUALITY. THIS SURVEY WILL BE USED TO
QUANTIFY WHETHER LEAD CONTAMINATION OF CATALYST IS A PROBLEM AND TO
VERIFY CARS TESTED FOR RECALL ACTIONS DO NOT HAVE CONTAMINATED
CATALYSTS.
