Abstract: THIS INFORMATION IS NEEDED BECAUSE DISCHARGE INTO CERTAIN WATER SEGMENTS NOT MEETING STATE WATER QUALITY STANDARDS ARE PROHIBITED UNLESS A NEW SOURCE OR NEW DISCHARGER CAN SHOW THAT SUFFICIENT POLLUTANT LOAD ALLOCATIONS REMAIN TO ALLOW DISCHARGE INTO THE SEGMENT (40 CFR 122.52(I).
