GENERAL ORDER UNDER U.S.S 2076 (B)(1),
WHICH REQUIRES FIRMS MANUFACTURING, IMPORTING, OR LABELING ANY
CONSUMER PRODUCT, EXCEPT GASOLINE, CONTAINING BENZENE AS AN
INTENTIONAL INGREDIENT SINCE JANUARY 1, 1979 TO FURNISH THE
COMMISSION WITH CERTAIN INFORMATION CONCERNING THESE PRODUCTS. THE
PURPOSE OF THE REPORTING REQUIREMENT IS TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ON
THE EXTENT OF PUBLIC EXPOSURE TO CONSUMER PRODUCTS CONTAINING
BENZENE.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
