Abstract: PART 307 OF THE FDIC RULES AND REGULATIONS IMPLEMENTS SECTION 8(Q) OF THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT, AND DESCRIBES THE PROCEDURES TO BE FOLLOWED BY A BANK WHOSE INSURED STATUS HAS BEEN TERMINATED OTHER THAN BY AN ACTION OF THE FDIC BOARD OF DIRECTORS. THE PROCEDURES INCLUDE MAILING A PRESCRIBED NOTICE TO ITS DEPOSITORS AND PUBLISHING SAID NOTICE IN A LOCAL NEWSPAPER. CERTIFICATION OF COMPLIANCE MUST THEN BE SENT TO THE FDIC.
