Abstract: 12 CFR 544.6 REQUIRES FEDERAL ASSOCIATIONS TO OBTAIN BANK BOARD APPROVAL OF ANY CHANGE IN ITS BY-LAWS, WHICH IS NOT PREAPPROVED BY REGULATION. THE PURPOSE OF THE BY-LAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION IS TO EVALUATE WHETHER THE BY-LAW CHANGE IS JUSTIFIED AND WILL NOT NEGATIVELY IMPACT THE ASSOCIATION OR ITS MEMBERS.
