Abstract: REPORT COLLECTS INFORMATION FROM A SUBSET OF THE LARGEST COMMERCIAL BANKS THAT FILE THE FR 2416 REPORT ON THE MATURITY DISTRIBUTION OF OUTSTANDING CD'S THAT ARE REPORTED IN MEMO ITEM 1.A. OF THE FR 2416. THIS INFORMATION IS USED IN FEDERAL RESERVE DELIBERATIONS ON CHANGES TO REGULATIONS Q (CEILING RATES) AND D (RESERVE REQUIREMENTS) BASED ON SIZE AND MATURITY OF DEPOSITS. THESE DATA ARE ALSO USED FOR SUPERVISORY PURPOSES IN THE ANALYSIS OF BANK LIQUIDITY.
