Abstract: REPORT COLLECTS INFORMATION SELECTED DEMAND DEPOSITS IN FIVE OWNERSHIP CATEGORIES. THESE DATA ENABLE THE FEDERAL RESERVE TO EXPLAIN THE IMPLICATIONS OF SHORT-RUN VARIATIONS IN THE MONEY SUPPLY. SPECIFICALLY, INFORMATION ON THE COMPONENTS OF THE MONETARY AGGREGATES AIDS IN THE DISTINGUISHING BETWEEN SHIFTS IN THE MONEY FLOW RESULTING FROM CHANGES IN THE SECTOR DISTRIBUTION OF DEMAND DEPOSITS AND THOSE THAT REFLECT BEHAVIORAL CHANGES WITHIN
