Abstract: THIS SURVEY BEGAN IN 1912 TO MEASURE CONSUMPTION, STOCKS, AND SPINDLE ACTIVITY ON THE COTTON SPINNINNG SYSTEM. IN ADDITION TO MEASURING SPINNING ACTIVITY, IT IS USED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE IN MONITORING THE SUPPLY AND DISTRIBUTION OF COTTON AND BY ANALYSTS OF TH COTTON COMMODITY MARKET.
