Abstract: PROVIDES DATA TO ESTIMATE CATFISH AND TROUT INVENTORY, MARKETING, PRODUCTION AND WATER AREA IN 18 MAJOR PRODUCING STATES. SURVEY RESULT WILL BE USDA'S INPUT INTO THE NATIONAL AQUACULTURE PLAN. THIS PLAN WI DETERMINE ACTION FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD UNDERTAKE TO FURTHER AQUACULTURE DEVELOPMENT. ESTIMATES ALSO USE CATFISH AND TROUT PRODUCERS IN PRODUCTION AND MARKETING DECISIONS.
