Abstract: FORM FNS-44, MONTHLY REPORT OF THE CHILD CARE FOOD PROGRAM AND SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN IS PREPARED BY STATE AGENCIES AND US BY FNS TO DETERMINE THE LEVEL OF PAYMENT OF CLAIMS SUBMITTED BY STATES AND TO ASSESS PROGRAM GROWTH. WITHOUT THESE FORMS, FNS WOULD HAVE NO MEANS WHEREBY PAYMENTS TO STATES COULD BE ADJUSTED TO COINCIDE WITH CUMULATIVE EXPENDITURES BY STATES.
