Abstract: THIS INFORMATION WILL BE COLLECTED BY THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE TO MONITOR AND CONTROL THE NUMBER OF SMALL VESSELS USING GLACIER BAY DURING WHALE SEASON (JUNE 1 TO AUGUST 31). THE SERVICE IN RESPONSE TO FORMAL CONSULTATION WITH THE NATIONAL MARINE FISHERIES SERVICE (NMFS) MUST RESTRICT VESSEL USE OF THE BAY TO 1976 LEVELS TO PROTECT THE HUMPBACK WHALE, AN ENDANGERED SPECIES.
