Abstract: USED BY ELECTRIC UTILITIES TO REQUEST AN EXEMPTION FROM THE REQUIREMENTS FOR NEW POWERPLANTS IN P.L. 55-620 WHCIH STATES THAT NATURAL GAS AND PETROLEUM SHALL NOT BE USED AS THE PRIMARY ENERGY SOURCE IN ANY NEW ELEC. POWERPLANT; AND NEWLY CONSTRUCTED POWERPLANTS MUST BE ABLE TO USE COAL OR ALTERNATE.
