Abstract: THE APPLICATIONS OBTAIN INFORMATION FROM PERSONS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE SURVIVOR DEATH BENEFITS UNDER THE RAILROAD RETIREMENT ACT. BENEFITS INCLUDE LUMP-SUM DEATH BENEFITS, ANNUITIES DUE BUT UNPAID AT DEATH AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR BURIAL EXPENSES. BENEFITS ARE PAID TO DESIGNATED BENEFICIARIES OR TO SURVIVORS IN A PRIORITY DETERMINED BY LAW.
