Abstract: SECTION 305 P.L. 91-173, AS AMENDED BY P.L. 95-164 REQUIRES THE OPERATOR OF EACH MINE TO MAINTAIN IN PERMISSABLE CONDITION ALL ELECTRIC FACE EQUIPMENT WHICH IS TAKEN INTO OR USED BY THE LAST OPEN CROSSCUT OF ANY SUCH MINE. THE INFORMATION COLLECTED IS USED TO MINITOR COMPLIANCE.
