Abstract: THE PURPOSE OF THIS STUDY IS TO PROVIDE PROJECTIONS OF THE SUPPLY AND DEMAND FOR LIBRARIANS THROUGH 1990. THE PROPOSED SURVEY WILL PROVIDE NEEDED DATA FOR DESCRIBING THE CURRENT SITUTATION, AND WILL PROVIDE SUMMARY DATA FOR AN ECONOMETRIC MODEL SO THAT THE PROJECTIONS CAN BE MADE.
