Abstract: UNDER THE VOTING RIGHTS ACT OF 1964, THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE MAY REQUEST OPM TO EXAMINE THE QUALIFICATIONS OF PERSONS TO VOTE. THE OPM FORM 805 SERIES ELICITS INFORMATION FROM WHICH THIS DETERMINATION CAN BE MADE. IF ELIGIBLE, THE PERSON'S NAME IS CERTIFIED TO APPROPRIATE STATE OFFICIALS FOR ADDITION TO THE OFFICIAL VOTING LISTS.
