Abstract: CORRECT SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS ARE REQUIRED ON TAX RETURNS BY 26 U.S. 6109. WHEN TWO TAXPAYERS USE THE SAME NUMBER, VERIFICATION IS REQUIRE FROM BOTH TO DETERMINE WHO SHOULD BE USING THE NUMBER. THIS VERIFICATION IS NECESSARY TO PROCESS THE TAX RETURNS.
