Terms of Clearance: This request for clearance is approved for use through November 1981. when these forms are submitted for an extension of this approval, the Supporting Statement shall explain the method of estimating and calculating the reporting burden. The FHLBB is reminded that OMB and FHLBB have been discussing this information collection for many months. Therefore, the new submission shall also describe all the alternatives considered by the FHLBB to reduce the burden and the reasons each was accepted or rejected. It shall respond, with reasons, to the following strategies to decrease the burden: a. discontinue data collection and reporting for small S and Ls b. discontinue data collection and reporting for small and medium-sized S and Ls c. require data collection and reporting for a sample of institutions d. require data collection and reporting for a sample of applicants for loans e. require data collection and reporting on other, less frequent, base f. require that the S and Ls submit a copy of eaach register to the FHLBB, eliminating the data tabulation and 1192-o, 1192-p, 1192-q, (this could be done in conjunction with any of the above). The Supporting Statement shall include an analysis of the program efforts implementing the Civil Rights Act of 1968 by other federal agencies which regulate financial institutions.
