Abstract: FORM 8-A ELICITS MATERIAL INFORMATION CONCERNING SECURITIES TO BE REGISTERED ON NATIONAL SECURITIES EXCHANGES OR OTHER PUBLICLY-TRADED SECURITIES IN ORDER THAT INVESTORS MAY MAKE INFORMED AND KNOWLEDGEABLE INVESTMENT DECISIONS CONCERNING SUCH SECURITIES. THE COMMISSION IS PROPOSING TO AMEND THE FORM TO SIMPLIFY THE DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FORM THROUGH CONSOLIDATION OF CERTAIN ITEMS AND INCORPORATION OF CERTAIN UNIFORM DISCLOSURE ITEMS.
