Abstract: THE SERVICE CENTER USES THE FL 1853 WHEN THERE IS INSUFFICIENT RESPONSE FROM A TAXPAYER CONCERNING A NOTICE OF A RETURN DELINQUENCY. FL 1853 REQUESTS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND THE TAXPAYER'S BUSINESS AND HOME TELEPHONE NUMBERS SO THAT THE IRS CAN CONTACT THE TAXPAYER DIRECTLY TO DETERMINE THE TAXPAYER'S LIABILITY FOR FILING A RETURN.
