Abstract: THIS REGULATION GOVERNS FEDERAL CREDIT UNION INSURANCE AND GROUP PURCHASING ACTIVITIES. IT REPRESENTS A SUBSTANTIAL DEREGULATION PERMITTING CONSIDERALY GREATER LATITUDE IN THE GROUP PURCHASING AREA, SOME NEW REQIREMENTS HAVE BEEN PROVIDED TO ASSURE REASONABLE PROTECTIO OF MEMBER INTERESTS. WE ESTIMATE ZERO OR MINIMUM COSTS TO FEDERAL CREDIT UNIONS SINCE ALL OF THE EXPENSES A CREDIT UNION MAY INCUR ARE REIMBURSABLE.
