Abstract: THE AUDIT GUIDE IS NECESSARY TO ENSURE UNIFORM AND ADEQUATE AUDIT COVERAGE OF THE GOVERNMENT NATIONAL MORTGAGE ASSOCIATION (GNMA) MORTGAGE-BACKED SECURITIES PROGRAM. AN ANNUAL AUDIT IS CALLED FOR AS PART OF THE CONTRACTURAL ARRANGEMENT BETWEEN GNMA AND THE ISSUER IN THIER GUARANTY AGREEMENT.
