Abstract: THE SECURITIES EXCHANGE ACT OF 1934 REQUIRES THAT CLEARING AGENCIES BE REGISTERED WITH THE COMMISSION. THE COMMISSION MAY REGISTER A CLEARIN AGENCY ONLY IF IT MEETS CERTAIN CRITERIA. BY REVIEWING THE INFORMATIO IN FORM CA-1, THE COMMISSION DETERMINES WHETHER IT SHOULD GRANT REGISTRATION. THE RULE AND FORM WERE ADOPTED ON NOVEMBER 3, 1975.
