Approved for
three months. OMB intends to continue its review of moto vehicle
certification, but wishes to avoid any disruption of the progr
after January 1, when the public protection clause of the Paperwork
Reduction Act takes effect. OMB therefore grants a short-term
clearance, through March 31, 1982, while it proceeds with its
review. OMB will want a more complete accounting of the burden
reductions list on page 2 of the supporting statement. OMB is also
interested in examining the industry comments referred to on page 8
of the September report that accompanied the supporting statement.
OMB will not requir a formal resubmission of the same materials we
already have in hand, b will accpet any additional materials that
EPA wishes to provide.
