DOT no. 1834 --
This information collection actvity is one of a number of reporting
and recordkeeping requirements levied on drivers and carriers by 49
CFR 391, Qualifications of Drivers. All these items are being given
the same expiration date - January 1983. When these are submitted
for renewal in October 1982, they must be submitted as a group,
with a detailed justification for the need for the set of drive
qualification requirements. OMB suggests that DOT review these
requirements and consider ways the paperwork burden imposed by them
can be reduced.
