Abstract: REVISE THE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS REGULATIONS APPLICABLE TO LIMITED QUANTITIES OF RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS AND RADIOACTIVE DEVICES IN ORDER T ACHIEVE COMPARABLE LEVELS OF SAFETY IN EACH MODE, AND IN A FASHION THA IS CONSISTENT IN REGULATORY CONTROLS AND REQUIREMENTS. THE MOST NOTABLE PROPOSAL INVOLVES ELIMINATION OF SHIPPING PAPER REQUIREMENTS F DETAILED PRESCRIPTIONS. A REPORTING REQUIREMENT IS PROPOSED FOR PACKAGES WHICH INCUR DAMAGES DURING TRANSPORTATION.
