Abstract: SECTION 17(G) OF THE INVESTMENT COMPANY ACT OF 1940 AUTHORIZES THE COMMISSION TO REQUIRE THAT CERTAIN OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF REGISTERE MANAGEMENT INVESTMENT COMPANIES BE BONDED BY INSURANCE COMPANIES AGAIN LARCENY AND EMBEZZLEMENT. RULE 17G-1(G) SETS CERTAIN FILING AND REPORTING REQUIREMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH MAINTAINING SUCH INSURANCE COVERAGE.
