Abstract: COLLEGE FINANCIAL STATISTICS ARE NEEDED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO REPORT ON THE CONDITION OF EDUCATION AND TO DETERMINE ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE TITLE III PROGRAM. THESE DATA ARE USED BY THE BUREAU OF THE CENSUS TO REPORT THE FINANCES OF STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS, AND BY THE BUREAU OF ECONOMIC ANALYSIS TO DEVELOP THE GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT.
