THE SURVEY IS BEING IMPLEMENTED TO
EVALUATE THE REPORTED SUCCESS OF INDUSTRY EFFORTS TO CERTIFY COAL
AND WOOD BURNING APPLIANCES TO EXISTING VOLUNTARY STANDARDS. THE
SURVEY INFORMATION WILL BE USED BY THE COMMISSION IN ITS FINAL
DELIBERATION REGARDING THE NEED TO PUBLISH A MANDATORY LABELING
RULE FOR COAL AND WOOD BURNING APPLIANCES.
