Abstract: THE REGULATIONS WITHIN PART 3100 OF TITLE 43 OF THE CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS CONTAIN THE PROCEDURES FOR OBTAINING A LEASE TO EXPLORE FO DEVELOP AND PRODUCE OIL AND GAS RESOURCES LOCATED ON FEDERAL LANDS. THE REVISED RULEMAKING ELIMINATES UNNECESSARY BURDENSOME, INCORRECT, UNCLEAR AND OUTDATED PROVISIONS.
