Abstract: SECTION 519 OF P.L. 95-87 PROVIDES THAT A PERMITTER MUST FILE A REQUEST FOR THE RELEASE OF ALL OR PART OF A PERFORMANCE BOND OR DEPOSIT. THE INFORMATION IS USED BY THE REGULATORY AUTHORITY IN DETERMINING WHETHER TO RELEASE THE PERFORMANCE BOND LIABILITY AND FOR TERMINATE PERMITS AFTER COMPLETION OF ALL LIABILITY PERIODS REQUIRED BY LAW.
