Abstract: THE NATIONAL MINERALS POLICY ACT REQUIRES THE SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR TO BE INFORMED OF, AND TO INFORMED OF, DEVELOPMENTS IN THE MINERAL INDUSTRIES INCLUDING POTENTIAL CRISES THEREIN.
