Abstract: SECTION 103 (C) AND SECTION III OF THE FEDERAL COAL MINE SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT OF L969, AS AMENDED BY P.L. 95-164 REQUIRES OPERATORS TO FILE REPORTS WITH MSHA PERTAINING TO ACCIDENTS, OCCUPATIONAL INJURIES ILLNESS, AS WELL AS EMPLOYMENT AND COAL PRODUCTION DATA. THE INFORMATION COLLECTED IS USED TO MONITOR COMPLIANCE.
