Abstract: THIS ANNUAL SURVEY IS THE ONLY ESTABLISHED SYSTEM FOR COLLECTING AND REPORTING TOTAL U.S. URANIUM EXPLORATION COSTS. THE DATA WILL PERMIT URANIUM RESERVE ADDITIONS TO BE RELATED TO EXPLORATION COSTS AND DRILLING FOOTAGES AND WILL PROVIDE A USEFUL MEASURE FOR DETERMINING FUTURE LEVELS OF EXPLORATION EXPENDITURES NECESSARY TO INSURE AN ADEQUATE DOMESTIC URANIUM SUPPLY. COLLECTION WILL BEGIN UPON APPROVAL BY OMB.
