Abstract: THESE NEW REGULATIONS WILL REPLACE CURRENT COAST GUARD REQUIREMENTS FO PLAN APPROVAL AND SHOP INSPECTION OF PRESSURE VESSELS THAT DO NOT CONTAIN HAZARDOUS MATERIALS WITH REQUIREMENTS THAT THEY BE INSPECTED AND STAMPED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ASME BOILER AND PRESSURE VESSEL CODE. THESE REGULATIONS WILL REDUCE THE TIME REQUIRED FOR PRESSURE VESSEL APPROVALS.
