Abstract: THE PROPOSED RULEMAKING WILL ALLOW COMPANIES TO CONSOLIDATE INDIVIDUAL LEASES INTO A SINGLE LEASE OF NOT MORE THAN 60000 ACRES, TO THE BENEFI OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND THE COMPANIES. THE INFORMATION REQUIREMENT CONTAINED IN THIS RULEMAKING CONSISTS OF A LETTER OF APPLICATION FROM INDUSTRY JUSTIFYING A NEED TO CONSOLIDATE.
