Abstract: STUDIES OF POTENTIAL WILDERNESS AREAS ARE REQUIRED BY THE FEDERAL LAND POLICY MANAGEMENT ACT. SOCIOECONOMIC INFORMATION ON WILDERNESS AREAS IS STIPULATED IN THE BLM WILDERNESS STUDY POLICY. THIS SURVEY OF A RANDOM SAMPLE OF ARIZONA REGISTERED VOTERS WILL PROVIDE ACCURATE SOCIOECONOMIC DATA TO ENHANCE MANAGEMENT DECISIONS ON WILDERNESS RECOMMENDATIONS IN ARIZONA.
