Abstract: THIS SURVEY WILL PROVIDE THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION WITH ESTIMATES OF THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN AND ADULTS WHO SPEAK A LANGUAGE OTHER THAN ENGLISH AT HOME THAT HAVE LIMITED ENGLISH POFICIENCY. THIS INFORMATIO IS NEEDED TO FULLFILL A CONGRESSIONAL MANDATE.
