Abstract: THE FDIC IS CHARGED WITH RESPONSIBILITY FOR ENFORCING REIMBURSEMENT PROVISIONS OF THE TRUTH IN LENDING ACT (TILA). UNDER SECTION 108(E)(2 OF THE TILA THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE FDIC MAY EXERCISE EQUITABLE DISCRETION IN REQUIRING REIMBURSEMENT TO THE ACCOUNTS OF CUSTOMERS FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE TILA. BANKS MUST REQUEST SUCH RELIEF.
