Abstract: CONSISTENT WITH TREASURY CIRCULAR 1084 THE ARTS ENDOWMENT IS INITIATIN IMPROVEMENTS IN ITS CASH MANAGEMENT PRACTICES. ONE AREA OF BASIC MANAGEMENT WEAKNESS HAS BEEN THE AMOUNT OF CASH ADVANCED TO CONTRACTOR UNDERTAKING PROJECTS FOR THE ARTS ENDOWMENT.
