Abstract: THE FDA HAS RESPONSIBILITY UNDER THE FEDERAL FOOD, DRUG AND COSMETIC ACT TO PREVENT THE INTERSTATE DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD PRODUCTS WHICH ARE DEEMED TO BE ADULTERATED OR POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS TO THE PUBLIC HEALTH THE INFORMATION TO BE RECORDED IS ESSENTIAL TO PROVIDE ASSURANCE THAT EVERY CONTAINER OF LOW-ACID CANNED FOOD RECEIVES A PROCESS WHICH RENDE THE FOOD FREE OF MICROORGANISMS OF PUBLIC HEALTH CONCERN.
