Abstract: SURVEY OBTAINS DEPOSIT AMOUNTS AND NUMBER OF DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS AT COMMERCIAL AND MUTUAL SAVINGS BANKS. SURVEY COVERS ALL BANKS AND THEI BRANCHES IN U.S. SURVEY DATA PROVIDE A BASIS FOR MEASURING THE COMPETITIVE IMPACT OF BANK MERGERS AND HAVE ADDITIONAL USES IN ESTIMATES OF FDIC-INSURED DEPOSITS AND IN RESEARCH STUDIES.
