Abstract: THE STUDY IS A CASE-CONTROL STUDY OF THE OCCUPATIONAL AND OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL CHARACTERISTICS OF 600-800 MESOTHELIOMA CASES AND 800-1050 APPROPRIATELY CHOSEN CONTROLS. THE NECESSARY, CRITICAL INFORMATION WILL BE COLLECTED FROM SPOUSE OR OTHER AVAILABLE RELATIVE OF EACH CASE AND CONTROL IN A TELEPHONE INTERVIEW AVERAGING ABOUT 45 MINUTES. CASES WILL BE DRAWN FROM THE CANCER REGISTRIES OF THE UNIV. OF SOUTHERN CAL. & N.Y. STATE HEALTH DEPT. AS WELL AS FROM THE VA.
