Abstract: THE INFORMATION OBTAINED WOULD BE USED TO CLEARLY IDENTIFY FOREIGN DEPENDENCE ON U.S. OIL/GAS EQUIPMENT AND TECHNOLOGY. IT WILL ALSO IDENTIFY THE U.S. AND FOREIGN COMPANIES THAT MAY BE POTENTIAL VIOLATOR OF THE SANCTIONS IMPOSED BY THE PRESIDENT IN DECMEBER 1981 AND JUNE 1982. IT WOULD ALSO PROVIDE DETAILED INFORMATION OF THE ECONOMIC IMPACT ON U.S. FIRMS OF BOTH THE OVERALL OIL/GAS SANCTIONS AND THOSE SANCTIONS DIRECTED AT THE SIBERIA/WEST EUROPEAN PIPELINE.
